Baby N: Logan, Utah Newborn Photographer

This beautiful newborn baby girl is just so very beautiful. So much amazing brown hair, such petite, darling features. I think I could have cuddled her all day.

This girls mama is an amazing photographer and so of course knew all the things to do before-hand to make sure baby N was set to go for her session.

This little girl started the session all stretchy and wide-eyed. After a while (and a good snack) she was set to drift off to sleepy-land.

I'm always amazed at how quick newborn photos go once baby finds their sleepy spot. Baby N did great and had some gorgeous set-ups and transitions.

So how can you make sure baby pictures go well for your little one? Here are a few tips.

1. Focus on a full-feeding right before. I get that baby's ultimately decide when to eat but work to keep baby awake and eating right before you come. (If it doesn't work out, you can also feed them here!).

2. Don't let baby sleep all day before photos. If you can, give them a bath, play with them, just help them to get in some awake time so that they will be ready for sleep. We will also schedule your session to help accommodate this.

3. Relax. The most important thing to do for yourself and your newborn is to leave worry behind. I have worked with dozens of babies many who didn't eat well, weren't at all tired, or otherwise struggled. Every single one ended up with beautiful images in unique ways. Don't stress. We've got this!

Enjoy!

Happy First Birthday Pictures, Mr. C.

I can't believe it's been a year since this darling mr. was in for newborns. He and his sisters are oh so sweet!

Being a girl mama myself, I love the opportunity to pull out the boy props and enjoy some time connecting and enjoying little hunks like Carden (who was seriously so much more about his mom than me, but she's amazing, so I can't blame him!) One-year photo shoots are a great milestone when individual personalities start to shine.

My favorite was how his two big sisters are still such sweet little mamas with him. Seriously, you can tell they adore their baby brother and while he was more comfortable with mom cuddles than being held by sisters, they were in heaven getting to show their cute baby brother off.

So much love and change happens in that first year, and I'm so thankful for wonderful clients who let me capture their family memories as a child photographer!
